So, the end of year is fast approaching.

School sucked, but I don't really want to get into that.

I got a second interview with Microsoft, initially for SDET IE and then for SDET Windows (which I didn't find out until I got to my interview...), and then got rejected. That sucked.

Another company has asked for me to fill out an employment application, so I'm working on that. They want me to intern over the summer. They're a cool company, so I hope it works out.

~sahneh is here at my parents' house, currently still in bed, cuddling with my mom's dog. He lucked out this year with the various Christmas celebrations. We didn't go to my mom's family's dinner (one of my cousins was a complete jerk last year to me), and my stepmom's family wasn't going to have one and then they were going to have one on New Year's Eve and then it ended up being on Christmas day so we couldn't go. We are having dinner with my mom's family tonight, though, but it's technically a business dinner and the aforementioned cousin behaves better at business things. So we'll see how that goes.

We head back to NY on January 4th. Hopefully I'll be moving out of on-campus housing and into ~sahneh's apartment (officially, anyway; I've been living there anyway).

~sahneh and I were at one of the local shopping areas a couple days ago and dropped into GameStop to see what they had for PS2. We ended up leaving with three games: Kingdom Hearts, Ghost in the Shell: SAC, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Kingdom Hearts has been rather fun, but we're disappointed with the fighting engine and the camera. GitS we haven't tried yet. MGS refuses to recognize enough space on my memory cards, so ~sahneh has given up trying to play it.

It's also that time of year for me when I get to upgrade my cellphone. I had an LG enV, which had a wretched inbox for text messages. I replaced it with an HTC Droid Eris. I'm loving it so far. The store put a privacy screen/screen protector on it which seems to have dulled some of the screen's responsiveness at the edges. I also have some trouble with it properly recognizing when I'm touching the screen (it seems to lock up for a few seconds every once in a while). The Droid Eris doesn't run the newest version of Android, but rumor has it that they'll be releasing it in 2010. I'm really quite pleased with the phone overall. I love being able to check my Gmail whenever. I'm having trouble setting up my school email on it, but their server is having issues right now anyway (it refuses to play nice with Thunderbird at the moment). Overall, I'm very happy with it.

That's pretty much it. I'm just hoping that next year goes better overall.
